新嘗祭とは
新嘗祭（にいなめさい）は「しんじょうさい」とも言われ、新しい穀物をお召し上がりいただく（嘗）ことを意味しており、収穫した新穀を神に奉り、その恵みに感謝して国家安泰や国民の繁栄をお祈りする祭りです。日本全国の神社で行われています。春は豊作を祈る祈年祭、秋は収穫を感謝する新嘗祭が執り行われるようです。（参考：伊勢神宮 祈年祭・新嘗祭）
Niinamesai, also known as Shinjōsai, is a traditional Japanese festival where people give thanks for the year’s harvest. The word “niiname” means “to taste the new crops,” so it’s all about offering the freshly harvested rice and grains to the gods and showing gratitude for the blessings. It’s also a time to pray for peace in the country and happiness for the people.
This festival happens all over Japan at Shinto shrines. In spring, there’s a festival called Kinensai, where people pray for a good harvest, and in autumn, Niinamesai is held to say thank you for the crops.
新嘗祭とは、土地の神様に、その年の五穀豊穣を感謝するお祭りで、宮中では天皇陛下が神々へ新穀を奉られ、御自らもお召し上がりになられます。古くは収穫された新穀をまず伊勢の神宮へ献上し、１１月２３日の新嘗祭をもって、天皇陛下、そして国民が初めて食すことができる風習がありました。

開始時間 10時から
10時に社務所から神職が出てきて舞殿の横を通り、60段の大石段を上がり本宮に行きます。祭事自体は本宮内で執り行われますので、見学することは出来ません。神職が通る際は、石畳には入れませんし、階段も上がれませんのご注意ください。
10時前に社務所の前で待つのがベストですが、参道（石段）の上には立てませんので、反対側（社務所と遠い側）の石段の外でお待ちしましょう。（結局、石段の上からは立ち退きを言われますので、石段の外で待っていると、始まる際は一番前になります）
約1時間本宮内で祭事が執り行われた後、神職が出てきました。大石段を下り舞殿の横を通って社務所に戻って終了です。（2023年の情報です）
見学するのにお金はかかりませんので、ご安心ください
At 10 AM, the Shinto priests come out of the shrine office and walk past the Maiden, then head up the 60 stone steps to the main shrine. The actual ceremony takes place inside the main shrine, so it’s not open for public viewing. When the priests are passing through, please don’t step onto the stone path or go up the stairs.
The best spot to wait is in front of the shrine office before 10 AM. But keep in mind—you’re not allowed to stand at the top of the stone steps. So it’s better to wait outside the steps on the opposite side (away from the shrine office). If you wait there from the beginning, you’ll end up with the best view when everything starts, since they’ll eventually ask people standing on the steps to move anyway.（2023 Information）

鶴岡八幡宮境内の化粧室の場所です。舞殿の横の休憩所の化粧室は結構混んでいます。個人的に穴場は国宝館にある化粧室です。あまり知られてないので比較的空いている気がしますが、国宝館を利用した人のみが利用可能です。
The restrooms within the grounds of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine are located in several places.
The restroom at the rest area next to Maiden is relatively crowded.Personally, I think the hidden gem is the restroom inside the National Treasure Hall. It’s relatively unknown, so it tends to be less crowded. However, it’s only available to those who have visited the National Treasure Hall.

鎌倉駅西口を出て、小町通りを通るか、まっすぐ歩いて若宮大路から段葛を通るのがお勧めです。
歩いて10分程度です。
