Every May 5, Kamakura-gū holds the Kusajishi ritual, where archers in traditional attire shoot deer-shaped targets.

3月下旬、舞殿において「献詠披講式」が行われ、披講される和歌は実朝公の１首、他は公募に依ります。献詠披講式とは、神前で和歌を曲節をつけて詠み上げる古式ゆかしい神事で、平安時代より宮中に伝わる披講の形式で行われ、天下泰平や国土安穏を願う意味が込められています。
